I recently appeared on the Masculine By Design Podcast run by Craig James of Masculine By Design.
The subject of our discussion was Testosterone Replacement Therapy. I’ve written a series of posts on it in the past outlining my experience, and they can be found among the links lower on this page.
Craig’s synopsis of the contents of the episode:
- How to determine if you’re suffering from low testosterone
- What life is like before and after starting a TRT program
- What a low testosterone test result looks like
- The increase in free testosterone to expect after using TRT
- How to find a quality TRT clinic (warning: there are many bad ones out there)
- The monthly cost of being on Testosterone Replacement Therapy
- How long you can expect to remain on a TRT program
- The health risks associated with TRT
- The lifestyle changes you can make to naturally increase testosterone
- How modern life is emasculating men by destroying their hormones”
Craig is a great interviewer, for lack of a better word for it. Very professional, has hustle, and detail oriented. The outline he sent me was the most comprehensive and specific one I’ve ever been given before a podcast appearance.
The differences in our methods made for a great combination that I very much enjoyed. Between my appearance on Jay Campbell’s podcast below and on Masculine by Design above, I’ve said just about everything I’d ever want to about TRT.
I’d also like to point out the insane changes my body has been through over the course of my experience with TRT. Hell, just look at my faces.
The Two Lloyds you’re looking at are nearly exactly one year apart. That’s Testosterone for ya.
Now for my TRT posts:
First TRT post – Do You Have Low Testosterone?
Second TRT post – TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) Update
Third TRT post – How Testosterone Replacement Therapy Has Affected Me
Fourth TRT post – Let’s Talk Numbers – Testosterone and Body Weight
This post makes 5.
TRT UPDATE 5
I just saw my doctor two days ago, funny enough. We switched up a few things with my treatment. That can wait until another time, though.
In the Fourth update, I said…
“Next on the list is losing body fat, but I’m in no rush. I’ve been reshaping my body for 4 years, so I don’t mind taking another 8 months to lose body fat.”
Yeah, ya see, I said that…and didn’t mean it. Now don’t get me wrong, I have been practicing intermittent fasting since then. But the thing about intermittent fasting is that it isn’t a weight loss thing.
Intermittent fasting is the perfect way for me to eat. The thing about weight loss, though, is that it doesn’t happen unless you eat less food. I wasn’t eating shitty food, but I was eating ENOUGH food.
Enough for what?
Enough that I’ve gained even more mass (while focusing on MAINTENANCE, not growth) than I discussed on Craig’s show.
We’ll talk numbers some other time. The important point is that my waist and hips stayed almost the same size and I started ripping the shoulder seams of my shirt sleeves.
