We are being programmed. Religion, the news, television, movies, basically every distraction in life. We are being programmed to help the weak and condemn the strong.
This goes against what comes naturally to human beings. We innately know the truth.
Only the weak need help.
We naturally look down on the weak and look up to the strong. Don’t believe me? Think you’re above that? Try to think of one person you’ve ever truly respected that didn’t have at least one strong characteristic.
I’m not talking about physical weakness. We can respect the man who is a genius despite his frail body. We can respect the man who is a powerhouse despite his feeble mind. We worship the man who is strong in mind as well as body.
You’ve heard that old saying that “No man is an island”?
False. Every man is an island.
You are born alone. You die alone. There is no “we” in this.
The weak need help. They don’t get it. They get pity.
The strong don’t need help, but they often get it.
There is an upside, though. Everyone is born weak, but you don’t have to stay that way.
If you’re weak, you need help. The best way to get that help is to become strong. It’s not as difficult as you think. It starts with a simple question: “How can I change?”
Change by growing.
Growth happens when you nearly break.
You build muscle by pushing yourself almost to your breaking point. You feed your body and rest. Your muscles grow back bigger and stronger.
You build knowledge by filling your mind until you nearly overflow. You use the information to learn. You rest and reflect to understand.
You build a relationship by overcoming every hardship. You bond by willingly enduring together. You thrive by complementing each other’s lives.
People hate the word “change”. Those same people love the word “grow”. They’re exactly the same. If you’re not changing, you’re not growing. When you are weak, you can’t become strong without changing. End of story.
Have you ever heard the saying, “People never change”?
The people who never change and never grow aren’t living.
Life is about change. Life is about growing. The fact is, most people aren’t living.
I’m sure you know people that live the same day over and over again. Year after year. They do the same things and yet they expect something big and wonderful to come along and change their lives. There’s a problem with that.
They’re weak. They need help. They’re expecting help. Remember what I said about the weak and help?
The weak don’t get help. The strong get help. Still wondering how that can be true?
You become strong by forcing yourself to change.
If you expect help, you have to first help yourself.
Most of the “help” you get is a result of YOUR effort.
You’re not going to be the shy guy with a shit job and get the girl. You’re not going to wake up one morning with superhuman strength. You’re not going to stand in front of a crowd and know exactly what to say. Not if you’re weak.
You’re going to change yourself.
You can do it. You were meant to do it. You need it.
One day you will wake up and not need help.
One day you will wake up and find you have become strong.
You will crave more change because the strong need to become stronger.
You will know what I’ve been saying all along.
Only the weak need help.
